METAMORPHOSIS

Butterflies and Moths (also some amphibians and fish) go through a process called Metamorphosis: “a change of the form or nature of a thing or person into a completely different one, by natural or supernatural means.” We human beings have the same chemicals in our brains that initiate this process of metamorphosis in Moths and Butterflies, ergo we have the potential to become a different kind of human being. A caterpillar does not become a better caterpillar or a different form of caterpillar, it becomes a whole new being. In the pupa stage chemicals dissolve the caterpillar completely and it becomes wholly new; a butterfly or a moth. In the evolutionary journey of humans, we have the capability of going through a spiritual metamorphosis and becoming new, different, not who we were in an esoteric sense.

I aquire my specimens from Butterfly Farms that help propagate and release. They live a natural life and are collected once they die, are preserved and sold to collectors, artists, scientists etc. I am extremely grateful for these conservationists dedicated to the care and preservation of these amazing and beautiful life forms.
